PROJECT

Through this Open Society Initiative for Southern Africa (OSISA) Project, Women Parliamentarians in the SADC Region will be empowered with hands-on networking and ICT skills that will enhance their capacity to fulfill their roles of representation & constituent relations, lawmaking, oversight, budget making and other commitments. Female MP’s will gain the necessary knowledge to effectively address gender issues through the use of ICTs. Women Parliamentarians and other key stakeholders will actively make use of the Gender Web Portal on the SADC PF Website to access relevant and up-to-date information on issues of interest. The Web Portal will act as a central hub of information for a large variety of stakeholders and provide a platform for users to access, exchange and disseminate information.  Through the Web Portal and the use of ICTs generally, Women Parliamentarians will network with their peers and exchange information and knowledge.
