Dear Parliamentarians, Citizens and Partners,

As we commemorate the International Day of Parliamentarism on 30^th June 2024, the Southern African Development Community Parliamentary Forum (SADC PF) and the International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance (International IDEA) jointly reaffirm the importance of Parliament as a cornerstone of democracy.

The Southern African Development Community Parliamentary Forum (SADC PF) was established in 1997 in accordance with Article 9(2) of the SADC Treaty as an autonomous institution of SADC. It is a regional inter-parliamentary body composed of fourteen (14) national parliaments, representing more than 3,500 parliamentarians across the SADC region. Read More
