TRIBUTE TO MICHEL MWEZA

The SADC Parliamentary Forum would like to pay tribute to Michel Mweza, a French interpreter at the Secretariat - who was a valued staff member of the Forum and whose sudden demise has left everybody in shock and sorrow.

Michel was a cheerful character with a strong but easy-going personality. He was a ray of light that beamed positive vibes and had the ability to be a mood changer for his co-workers and other staff. His work was commendable and his ideas were brilliant. As a citizen of the Democratic Republic of Congo, he exuded a sense of patriotism and honourably represented the colours of his country abroad and across the SADC region.

Michel was an excellent interpreter who had reached the prime of his career and was a master in his field of predilection.

His communication skills were nothing less than extraordinary and he has successfully handled complex meetings and represented the Forum in high quarters.

Michel had praiseworthy work ethics and was a sincere and genuine soul who attracted friends and co-workers with his unique charisma and good nature.

He was a hard worker who always prioritised his work and he will be remembered for his assiduity and diligence at the service of the Forum.

Michel was a positive thinker who could reverse tense situations within seconds with his work attitude that was characterized with confidence, poise and composure.

The passing of Michel leaves the Secretariat of the Forum with a void both in the hearts of his co-workers and in his office.

He will be deeply missed and the Forum expresses the most sincere of commiserations to his wife, child and other bereaved relatives. We pray for him and for his family to find courage and strength during this trying time.

May His Soul Rest In Peace!
