Dear Namibian Citizens,

As you vote during the seventh general election since gaining independence in 1990, I extend my warmest regards on behalf of the SADC Parliamentary Forum (SADC PF).

These elections mark a pivotal moment in Namibia’s democratic journey and reaffirm the country’s commitment to democracy, good governance, and the rule of law. As the electorate, your active and peaceful participation throughout the election cycle has been the anchor of Namibia’s democratic culture, which continues to inspire the region and beyond.

Your vote is more than a right; it is a powerful expression of your voice, aspirations and vision for Namibia. Voting shapes the nation’s future and helps build a stronger, more inclusive society.

The strength of democracy lies in citizens' active, peaceful, and informed participation. By participating in the electoral processes, you uphold Namibia's Constitution and reflect the values of the revised SADC Principles and Guidelines and the SADC Model Law on Elections.

We urge all stakeholders, including the Electoral Commission of Namibia, political parties, security agencies, and civil society, to ensure the electoral process is conducted with integrity, transparency, and respect for the rule of law. Collective efforts are vital to safeguarding the credibility and inclusiveness of the elections.

We urge all stakeholders—the Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN), political parties, security agencies, and civil society—to uphold integrity, transparency, and the rule of law to ensure the credibility of elections.

The SADC PF stands in solidarity with the people of Namibia during this important period. We encourage all citizens to exercise their democratic rights peacefully and responsibly, contributing to an electoral process reflecting people's will.

Once more, I wish you a successful, credible, and peaceful election day.

Yours faithfully,

H.E. Boemo Sekgoma

Secretary General
