 Rt Hon. Speaker RANDRIANASOLONIAIKO Thierry Siteny: President of SADC Parliamentary Forum

Born on 27 July 1972 in Toliara, Madagascar, Honourable Thierry Siteny Randrianasoloniaiko is a distinguished political leader and sports administrator. He is married and has built an extensive career spanning national governance, parliamentary leadership, and international sport diplomacy.

Hon. Randrianasoloniaiko currently serves as the Speaker of the National Assembly of Madagascar, a position he assumed on 15 October 2025. Prior to this, from July 2024 to October 2025, he served as Vice-President of the National Assembly and Leader of the Official Opposition.

A committed parliamentarian, he represented the Toliara I District as a Member of Parliament from July 2019 to June 2024, and previously from January to April 2014. He also held the position of First Quaestor of the National Assembly between May 2014 and February 2019, overseeing key administrative and financial functions within the legislature.

Beyond his parliamentary career, Hon. Randrianasoloniaiko is renowned for his leadership in sports development. He has served as President of the Malagasy Olympic Committee, securing re-election for a fourth term in 2023. Since May 2021, he has been the President of the African Judo Union, and since 2021, he has also held the position of Vice-President of the International Judo Federation, contributing significantly to the advancement of judo across Africa and globally.

Hon. Thierry Siteny Randrianasoloniaiko brings to the SADC region a wealth of experience in governance, institutional leadership, and international cooperation. His work reflects a deep commitment to public service, sports excellence, and fostering regional development.
